WORKING AT HEIGHTS – FUNDAMENTALS OF FALL PREVENTION

Working At Heights Course with a focus on fundamental fall prevention provided by Essential Safety Services.

Course Description:

This Ministry of Labour approved Working at Heights course provides workers with the basic fall prevention information they require to work safely in areas where they may be exposed to fall hazards. Participants receive the most up-to-date information with hands-on instruction from industry experts and trained adult educators who are experienced in working at heights.

Note: This course is completed in 1 day.

Course Content:

This course consists of a combination of classroom and hands-on learning activities.

  • Common fall hazards
  • Fall prevention, protection, and types of equipment
  • Working with ladders, scaffolds, elevating work platforms, and suspended access equipment
  • Related laws and regulations

Who Should Attend:

This course is mandatory for any worker on a construction job that would be working at heights or exposed to a fall of 3 meters or more. Employers, supervisors and workers. (O. Reg. 213/91, section 26)
