CONSTRUCTION HEALTH & SAFETY – BASIC

The Construction Health and Safety Basics course is designed to help construction workers identify common health and safety hazards that occur on a construction jobsite.

Course Description:

This is a comprehensive three-day program covering the basics of health and safety that every worker in the construction environment should know. Participants will identify common health and safety hazards and demonstrate the knowledge needed to work safely in the often dangerous and constantly changing construction workplace.

  • Personal protective equipment
  • Material handling and back care
  • Housekeeping
  • Access equipment
  • Basic electrical safety

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for workers new to the construction workplace, who have little previous exposure to health and safety training. For participants with broader construction experience, the program will provide a good review of the basics. (O. Reg. 213/91)
