BASICS OF FALL PROTECTION

The Basics of Fall Prevention course provided by Essential Safety Services is designed to teach construction workers how to safely work in high fall risk construction sites like high-rise buildings safely.

Course Description:

Falls have accounted for the largest number of serious injuries and accidental deaths in our workplaces.

This Basics of Fall Protection course is designed to provide the basic knowledge required for workers to work safely in areas exposed to fall hazards by recognizing the hazards and applying the appropriate fall protection controls.

Course Content:

This course consists of both classroom and hands-on components

  • Legal responsibilities
  • Basic hazards and controls
  • Fall prevention
  • Fall arrest

Who Should Attend:

This course is geared toward workers in the industrial sector. (O. Reg. 851 )

Workers in the construction sector require the Working at Heights course.
